1. 

On the e-Centre webpage, click on ‘Alarm Settings’ in the menu on the left hand 
side. 

2. 

Click on the edit button next to the Smoke-/Gas alarm. 

3. 

Select one or more smoke sensors for this smoke alarm. 

4. 

Alarm Events: You can use a scene to be triggered upon the detection of smoke. 
When one or more smoke sensors detect smoke, the selected scene will be 
triggered. For example, if you have defined a scene called ‘All On’ which 
switches all lamps on in your house, you will be able to find your way out of your 
house once the sensor detects smoke.

Siren Settings: The e-Centre has a siren function with several sounds and 
settings you can change. 

a. 

Siren Sound: Select one of the 5 sounds to be played by the e-Centre 
once this alarm is triggered. 

b. 

Siren Sound Duration: Change this setting if you want to have the siren 
to go off a longer or shorter period (in minutes). 

c. 

Maximum number of Siren Count: The number of times the siren 
should go off. 

6. 

Portal Settings: Enable this option if you want to send a signal to the e-Domotica 
Portal once a smoke alarm is detected. This allows you to notify yourself and/or 
contact persons about the smoke alarm. 
This option is only possible if your e-Centre is connected to the internet and 
registered on the portal.  

7. 

Click ‘Save’ to save the settings. You will return to the previous page 
automatically  

 

Note! If you use a gas detector: Executing a scène to switch on appliances and 
lighting may cause a spark and explosion hazard. Therefore it is not recommended to 
switch lighting or devices when both smoke and gas detectors are used.  

5.0 Setup your personal smoke alarm system 
using the e-Domotica Portal. 

The EM6590 Smoke Sensor can be used with the e-Domotica Portal. This allows you 
to notify yourself and other contact persons, upon the event of smoke or fire.  
This option is only possible if your e-Centre is connected to the internet and registered 
on the portal. Also, you need to have added at least one (1) contact person for 
reference.

Log in to the e-Domotica portal with your username and password. 

2. 

Click in the menu on the left hand side on the option ‘Alarm setup’.  

3. 

Click on the “Change” button (      ) at the right hand-side of the smoke alarm.  

4. 

The following options appear: “Contact persons”, “Notifications” and “Assign

 

camera”.  Refer to the following image:
