General Operation
The B30 and B64 Equalizers are designed for contouring bass, mid and treble frequencies of bass guitar. The B30 features single-pole filters
for broadband equalization at 6db per octave. Often the broader single-pole filters are preferred for musical instruments because they are
less selective, easier on the ear, and sound more “musical”. The B64 has a tighter filter bandwidth and has more of a pronounced effect from
each control. The mid-cut of the B64 is perfect for “funk” with it’s mid-range centered at 600 HZ. Both the bass and treble controls of the B64
have tighter bandwidth and don’t creep into the mnid-range as much as the B30. Both are illustrated in the graphs on the next page.

Battery Power:
If you play the instrument very hard, and are boosting any band heavily you should consider operating the instrument on +18 Volts (See “Power
Tips” under Accessories/product data sheets at http://www.emgpickups.com. If you play mildly and use a minimum of boost the instrument
should operate easily on a single 9-Volt battery. Use an Alkaline or Lithium battery for the best battery life and always unplug your guitar when
you’re not using it.
