Runtime Set-up
To download an application to a QuickPanel

Operator Interface, set up a data link between
the unit and the development workstation. Refer to Section 5.7.2, Ethernet for
IC755CxS06RDx, IC755CxW07CDx, and IC755CxSxxCDx, and the PAC Machine Edition
online help, Downloading a Machine Edition Project.

Firmware Updates
Update the unit to the most recent released version of the firmware, with the latest feature
upgrades and issues addressed. Firmware updates for the QuickPanel
+
are available on the
Support website.

The firmware update will remove the application and change the IP Address of the
QuickPanel

Operator Interface.

The firmware package contains encrypted .nbo files. Use the PreUpdate.exe tool to decrypt
the .nbo files before using them for upgrade.

Shutdown
There are no specific dangers associated with a power failure or other unplanned shutdown
of the QuickPanel
+
unit. In general, programs are retained in flash memory and user data
can be retained in BBSRAM. Some operating system settings are retained only with user
intervention. Perform the following procedure to properly shut down the QuickPanel
+
unit.

Quit any programs that are running and wait for all file operations to complete.
