POWER SOURCES
This system can be operated on 6 “C” batteries or on normal 120V 60Hz AC house
current. Attempting to operate this system on any other power source may cause
damage to the unit and such damage is not covered by your warranty.
Battery Operation
1.) Close the lid and place the unit up-side down on a flat surface.
2.) Press the two tabs on each of the battery doors and remove the doors.
3.) Insert 6 “C” batteries into the battery compartment according to the following
diagram.
Be sure to observe the correct polarity when installing the batteries. If the
batteries are installed incorrectly the unit will not operate.
Note:
We recommend Alkaline batteries for longest life and best performance.
4.) Replace the battery doors and turn the unit right side up again.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device:
1. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated in the battery
compartment. Reversed batteries may cause damage to the device.
3. Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-Zinc) or old batteries
with fresh ones.
4. If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent
damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
5. Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat and rupture.
