LISTENING TO RADIO
1.) Slide the FUNCTION Switch to RADIO position.
2.) Press the BAND Button to select the desired band, AM or FM.
3.) Tune to desired station by pressing the TUNING Up
or
Down button.
Each time the button is pressed, the frequency changes.
4.) To search for a station quickly (automatic tuning), keep the TUNING Up
or
Down button pressed until the frequency starts to change rapidly then release
the buttons. The tuner will stop on the first strong station. Repeat until you find
the desired station.
5.) If you tune into a FM stereo station, "
ST
" will show in the Display. If the FM
reception is noisy, press MODE button to turn stereo ‘OFF’.
6.) Adjust the VOLUME control to your listening preference.
7.) If you prefer more bass, slide the DBBS switch to ‘ON’ position.
8.) To turn off the radio, press POWER OFF button to shut power ‘Off’.
ANTENNA INFORMATION
FM
– The stereo headphone cable serves as the FM antenna when listening to
FM stations. Make sure that the headphone cable is unwound completely in order
to provide the best reception.
AM
– The AM antenna is located inside the cabinet of the CD player. If AM reception
is weak, try changing the position of the CD player itself until the internal antenna is
pointing in the general direction of the radio transmitter. This should provide
improved reception.
