1 . I nt roduct ion
The
ETM1 2 1
board is design and developed to interface alm ost any circuit to Ethernet
( LAN) . The ETM121 board is designed using
Realtek RTL8 0 1 9 AS
Ethernet controller,
over which the application circuit is developed. The controller has unique features such
as 8K of On- Chip Ram and 8/ 16 bit operations with interrupt capabilities. The

board can be connected to em bedded m icrocontroller and m icroprocessor for direct
connectivity to the LAN; also it is com patible to
ETM1 0 0
m icrocontroller board
available in Em bin product folder. The provided interface & sam ple C code shall help
beginners to j um p start with their application developm ent.
I t is essential to read the com plete m anual to understand the switch & j um per
settings, to prevent dam age to the board.

1) ETM121 Board.
2 .2 Pow er Supply Requirem ents:
ETM121 Board works with + 5V Regulated Power.
2 .3 Configuring the system :
Refer to the Connector & Jum per Setting display to connect the ETM121 board to any
8bit Microcontroller Board. For connectivity with the ETM100 board use the provided
cable ( optional) with Em bin’s ETM100 Kit.
