Finally, you should determine the acoustically correct in-phase connection of the tweeters. This
depends on several factors, for example in what loaction the tweeters have been mounted, or upon
the relative distance between tweeter, mid/woofer and listener. You should invert BOTH tweeter
wires at the terminals of the crossovers, or else connect the tweeter wires BOTH electrically in-phase.
Listen for changes in the upper midrange response. One of the two options will give you a better
staging and a more detailed, crisp and transparent sound quality.
After you have set the correct tweeter attenuation level and you have tested the best souding tweeter
connection polarity, you can remount the top of the crossover housing, reinstall all panels / factory
grilles - your installation is now completed.
INSTALLATON COMPLETED
Allow your component system to break in. During the first 20 to 50 hours of playback at medium
listening levels, the mechanical suspension parts of your component system will have reached their
equilibrium. In the meantime, listen for distorted sounds or mechanical noises. If the sound appears
to be wrong, like no bass output or unprecise soundstage - double check all the wiring! Keep in
mind that a wiring error may have fatal consequences for the tweeters. If you can not find the cause
for the strange or bad sound quality, make sure to see your EMPHASER dealer asap.
