v2 November 2019
5.0 – Connectors, Controls, Presets and Status LED’s
5.1 – Connectors
The ESP-8 is supplied with a combined XLR/jack input connector, and a male XLR loop
output connector. This loop output connector can be used to chain multiple loudspeakers
together with the same signal, or to link subwoofers and fullrange cabinets in assembled
systems.
The USB port on the rear panel is for factory use only.
5.2 – Controls
There are two controls available to the user on the ESP-8 – a simple attenuation control
with a range of -INF to +6dB for system adjustment, and the Preset Select button. The
Preset Select button allows the selection of the desired preset in the amplifier module (see
section 5.3) and can also be used to put the ESP-8 into Auto Standby mode (see section
5.4).
