Purotap can simply be disposed of in the household waste. If you return the cartridge to us, we
will recycle it in an environmentally friendly process. A freepost label is included in the packa-
ging.
The ion-exchange resin contained in the cartridge must not get into the heating system. Before
use, check the fine filters in both cartridge connectors.
As a result of deionisation, the conditioned water contains carbon dioxide and is temporarily
slightly acidic (pH value 5 - 6). This is why you must first fill the system with untreated water before
using Purotap.
To drive out any gases dissolved in the system water, it helps to run the system up to operating
temperature for a short time. We recommend checking the quality (or at least the pH value) of the
system water after the heating has been running for about 1 month.

The maximum capacity varies with water hardness.
Even partial replenishment with filtered water is effective
against corrosion and limescale. The diagram shows the
practical limits of use.
Purotap can only be used once. Even if its maximum capa-
city is not used up in one go, the effectiveness tails off
towards the end of the fill time. It is not possible to use up
any residual capacity without suitable measuring instru-
ments.
Purotap actively combats damage to heating systems by filtering the fill water of substances that
cause limescale and corrosion.
Purotap does not release any chemicals into the water.
New heating installation:
Fill the heating system with untreated
fresh water for the pressure test
Connect Purotap to the filler hosepipe
Let the filtered water from the Purotap replace the system water
The fill time depends on the system capacity
New heating installation:
If the heating system is clogged, flush
it out and refill with fresh water
