INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
1. Make sure your box is complete with two handles (one on either side of the box),
main box & lid. See Fig 1.
2. Before clamping the lid closed make sure the box is totally dry inside to prevent
moisture being trapped inside.
3. To increase the sealing effect of this box, we advise to use the retaining lugs on the
lid by clipping them under the lip of the main box. See Fig 2.
4. Make sure the box is left in a position were the lid is facing upwards and the box
cannot tip over.
MANUFACTURER WARNINGS
5. When connecting multiple appliances to a multi plug within the box, make sure the
total power drawn does not exceed the recommended maximum of the products you
are using. (Seek expert advice if you are in doubt).
6. This box is designed for temporary electrical connections only.
Transformers are warm when in use, sealing too many within this box can increase
their operating temperature.
7. Do not over fill the box, i.e. placing strain on the clamp mechanism; this could break
the water tight seal created with the gasket.
8. Do not place more than one cable in each port to avoid breaking the seal.
9. We advise any products used in the DRiBOX are CE for outdoor use approved.
10. An RCD is recommended to be used from the main electric supply.
11. Do not bury this product, use on the surface only.
12. Install the cables and appliances per manufacturer’s instructions.
13. Do not over bend or over stretch any wires within the DRiBOX to avoid crimping,
leading to a possible short or spark.
14.
Do not submerge in water.
15. Not intended for permanent installation.
16. Do not stand in water while plugging electrical devices in.
17. Do not touch sparking wires or connections.
18. Turn off main power switch before handling connections in wet areas.
19. Turn off main power switch before correcting any electrics in the DRiBOX.
20. When in use please unsure the box is facing up with label showing. If the DRiBOX
is required to be mounted, ensure it is fixed securely with the lid facing upwards. Do
not drill or puncture the product. Check back regularly to ensure the fastening method
is still secure.
WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS
21. Failure to follow all necessary warnings and precautions can cause property
damage, injury or death.
22. Water and moisture shall not get into the box.
23. Only use certified sockets and trailing sockets suitable for outdoor use; all
electrical components shall be protected by CERTIFIED branch protectors.
24. Shock hazard, disconnect electrical power before touching the box.
25. Only one device intended to be operated from each branch circuit.
26. If any of the components are damaged such as power cord is frayed, or box is
cracked and moisture gets inside, discontinue the usage immediately.
27. The box shall not be used in a hazardous location where explosive gas is around.
28. Not suitable for extended use.
29. Do not expose the box and electrical components to lighting storm; disconnect all
electrical components from the power source prior to lighting storm.
GUARANTEE / WARRANTY
DRiBOX Temporary Electrical Connections Box Limited Warranty by Festive Lights, Ltd.
(Seller) warrants to the original buyer only, that each DRiBOX connection box will be free
of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of
purchase.
SELLER'S SOLE OBLIGATION AND BUYER'S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED
WARRANTY SHALL BE THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF PARTS, WITHOUT CHARGE,
WHICH ARE DEFECTIVE IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP.
ANY PARTS AS DETERMINED BY THE SELLER WHICH HAVE BEEN MISUSED, ABUSED
OR DAMAGED EITHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM REPAIRS OR ALTERATIONS
ATTEMPTED BY UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS, IMPROPER MAINTENANCE, NEGLECT OR
ACCIDENT ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
12 month manufacturer guarantee is offered against purchase date (proof of purchase
required). This covers plastic degradation, silicone degradation and hinge construction.
An exchange will be arranged for faults that occur in 12 months.
To make a claim under this limited warranty, you must return the complete
DRiBOX
with
proof of purchase, transportation prepaid to the place of purchase.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO COMMERCIAL USER. ALL IMPLIED
WARRANTIES SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO ONE (1) YEAR FROM DATE OF
PURCHASE. IN NO EVENT SHALL SELLER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LIABILITY FOR LOSS
OF PROFITS, ARISING FROM THE SALE OR USE OF THIS PRODUCT AND SELLER'S
OBLIGATION WILL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE COST.
If any provision of this Limited Warranty is for any reason held to be invalid or
unenforceable, such provision shall not affect any other provision herein, this Limited
Warranty shall be construed as if such invalid and/or unenforceable provision had never
been contained herein.
This warranty contains the entire agreement between Seller and Buyer and supersedes
any and all prior agreements or understandings between the parties relating to product
warranty.
