• Do not fill the kettle when it is standing on the
base.
• Do not fill the kettle above the MAX indicator.
• Make sure the power cord does not hang over the
edge of a table or worktop, or come into contact
with hot surfaces.
• Only use the unit for its intended purpose.
• Never open the lid while boiling water (you may
scald yourself).
Do not overfill the kettle.
If you do, there is a risk of being sprayed by boil-
ing water.
PRODUCT-SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Boiling water can scald.
• Never force the button into the ON position and
never carry out any modifications designed to
hold it in the ON position by default. If you do,
steam may escape around the lid, leading to inju-
ry or damage to the automatic switch-off mecha-
nism.
Make sure the kettle is switched off
before removing it from its base.
