INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• There are two cones (a large one and a small one).
• The large cone is suitable for pressing large citrus fruits, such as grapefruit
and oranges.
• The small cone is suitable for pressing small citrus fruits, such as lemons
and limes.
• Fit the small cone directly onto the spindle.
• If you want to use the large cone, first fit the small cone onto the spindle
and then fit the large cone on top of the small one.
• Make sure the grooves in the large cone click into position over the tabs of
the small cone.
• Pull the large cone directly upwards to remove it from the small cone.
• Assemble all components and the cone you want to use.
• Place the unit on a flat surface that is easy to clean.
• Unwind the power cord (to the desired length) from the power cord com-
partment under the citrus juicer.
• Insert the plug into a wall socket (230 VAC, 50 Hz).
CAUTION!
If you press the fruit too hard against the cone, the motor may stop.
•
Fit the small cone directly onto the spindle.
•
If you want to use the large cone, fit it on top of the small one.
•
a) If you want to collect the juice in the juice holder, move the spout
upwards (so that it is closed).
•
b) If you want the juice to run into a glass, press the spout downwards
(so that it is open) and place a glass under it.
•
Slice a citrus fruit in half and press the open face of one half against
the cone. The citrus juicer starts to rotate automatically when you press
the fruit against the cone. The citrus juicer switches off automatically
when you stop pressing the fruit against the cone. The cone scrapes off
the pulp and presses all the juice out. The juice runs through the filter
(which collects the pulp and pips) down into the juice holder – the juice
is then ready to be served.
•
Press the fruit repeatedly against the cone (in this way you will extract
the maximum amount of juice).
AFTER USE
• Unplug the unit from the wall socket.
• Remove the cone(s), juice holder and spindle from the unit and clean them.
TIPS
• Juice from citrus fruit should be consumed immediately (if you must store
the juice, do not use a metal container).
• Mixing different types of citrus juice produces excellent results.
Try mixing orange juice and lemon juice, for instance – excellent taste with
a real vitamin C boost!
• Freshly pressed juice is great for mixing with drinks.
