1. Loosen the four housing screws (Ill. 22:

2. Open the lid of the EK205.
3. Mark the old battery with a felt pen or label,
for instance.
4. Remove the battery (Ill.:

) from the
battery holder (Ill.:

).
5. Select the free connection on the plate for
connecting the new battery (K9 or K10; Ill.:

).
6. Place the new battery inside (Ill.:
2
) and
ensure that the battery is correctly anchored
in the battery holder.
7. Remove the old battery and dispose of it
correctly.
8. Close the housing using the intended screws

9. Reenter the start capacity of the battery as
described in chapter 7.2.2.
10. Check of the operating period calculated as
described in chapter 7.2.3. In standard
operation mode (see chapter 3.2.1), the
operation duration must display at least 62
months. Otherwise, compared the settings
with the standard operation case and
execute step 9 if applicable.
Ensure that the new battery is fastened correctly and sits tight inside the EK205.
CAUTION!
Damage to property caused by improper device closure!
If the device is not properly closed cables can get pinched and cause damage.
Therefore:

During closing, ensure the correct position of the cable ducts.
7.2.2 Enter battery capacity
The battery capacity needs to be re-entered after a battery replacement.
To open the administrator lock, move the cursor to the Admin tab and via the following
path to the Cod.A value (administrator key entry):
