EATURES
The POE1230-C is a PoE powered 12V dc power supply with an additional PoE (802.3af) output, while also
possessing battery back-up/charging functionality. Receiving its power remotely from a supplied 50W high
power PoE injector, it eliminates the requirement for mains power at the device location. Using an industry
standard 12V 7Ah VRLA battery it offers standby power in the event of loss of power from the PoE supply,
ideal for critical access control applications. There is space available within the enclosure for installing
customer electronics that can be powered using the available outputs 12V dc @ 1.5A supply and/or 802.3af
PoE connection. Housed in a steel enclosure the POE1230-C offers the installer a unique PoE powered,
battery backed 12V dc / PoE Power Supply.

PERATION
The POE1230-C obtains its power remotely from the supplied 50W high power PoE injector -

. Within the unit the PoE input is split to offer a
Power over Ethernet connection (802.3af) in conjunction with a fused 12V dc output (1.5A max); both of
these outputs are backed-up locally by the standby/charging battery capability of the device when
connected to a 12V 7Ah VRLA battery (not supplied). The device has been designed to power access control,
CCTV or general PoE applications where on loss of PoE power the unit will automatically switch to battery
power until input power has been restored or the battery’s voltage has reached the Deep Discharge
Protection limit. The unit also offers a solar panel input (18-36V) if required, which can be used to
compliment the efficiency of the device and therefore reduce running costs.
