Operation
Loopback Test
1. Plug one end of testing cable on the RJ45
OUT
jack (2) in souring end of the master unit and another
end of testing cable on the remaining RJ45
IN
jack-receiving (1) end on the master unit.
2. Press power on (8), to turn on the instrument.
Press the "
AUTO
" button (5) to activate the scan function.
The upper row green LED (3) will start sequential scanning 1.. 8 + G (GND) and the low row (red)
LED (4) will light on the corresponding pin.
3. Switch off the automatic scanning by pressing the "
MANU
" button (10) and step through 1..8 + GND
by pressing the
TEST
button (7).
4. The automatic scan function can be stopped while holding the "
LOCK
" Button (6).
5. When the loop is "
OPEN
", you will hear buzzer sound.
6. Test battery with
BATT
button (11) (even if the instrument is off) the red LED (9) should light up.
Note:
When the battery power is low (less than about 7V), the LED indicators may be dimmed or there
will be no light the test result may not be correct.
Remote test
1. Plug one end of testing cable on the Rj45 jack-
OUT
(2) sourcing end on the master unit and another
end of testing cable on the RJ45 jack (13) receiving end on the remote unit. If the testing cable is
installed a patch panel or inside a wall plate, you may use the adapter cable to perform the test.
2. Set to automatic scan mode on the master unit by pressing "AUTO" button (5).
3 Read the test result from the LED indicators on the remote unit (14,15).
Warning:
1. Please do not operate the tester in live circuit because it
may damaged the tester.
2. If you will not use the tester for a long, take off the
battery from battery compartment.
