6 Operation
Important
•
Straighten the mains cable [12] if it
becomes twisted.
•
Do not pull, twist or kink the mains cable
[12]; do not pull or lay it across/on sharp,
pointy objects or hot surfaces.
•
Do not clamp the mains cable [12], for
example in drawers, doors or between the
barrel [2] and clip [3].
Warning
•
Stand on a dry, electrically non-conductive
surface.
•
Ensure that your hands are dry!
•
Your hair must be dry!
•
Depending on the temperature setting and
duration of use, the unit can become very
hot. If the unit is hot, touch it only by its
handle [9] – burn and fire hazard!
•
Do not touch the plastic cap [1], the
barrel [2] or the clip [3].
•
Press only on the lever [4] to open the
clip [3].
•
Do not clamp any objects between the
barrel [2] and clip [3].
•
Switch the unit off immediately if it is
defective or malfunctioning.
•
Fold out the stand [13]. The stand [13]
prevents the barrel [2] from touching the
surface while becoming hot.
•
Place the curling iron with the stand [13]
onto a stable, horizontal and non-
combustible surface or hold the curling iron
in your hand.
•
Press the button [8].
- The heating element in the curling iron is
switched on.
- The warm-up phase is displayed by a
flashing heat indicator lamp [6].
- When the selected temperature has been
reached, this is displayed by a
continuously lit heat indicator lamp [6].
•
The curling iron is ready for use in a few
minutes.
