6.0 SYSTEM PROGRAMMING
6.1 CONVENTIONS ADOPTED
For clarity, the manual adopts the following conventions:
this is to separate the different inputs which are carried out through a keyboard. For example
120

“input 120 and then press the OK key”.
The terms written in a
different sized italic character
shows that it is necessary to replace the given term with a
corresponding real value. For example, if the MASTER code is 01234, this is shown in the manual as
MASTER

means “input 01234and then press OK”.
[nn]
refers to the fast code to input on the keyboard for a menu item, where nn is the fast code. For example
[80]
means “fast code 80”. This is situated besides the menu item.

this is used to divide the different steps required to reach a menu item, from the first to the last one. For example
Setting > Language > Select language
means “choose Setting, then Language and finally Language selection”.
6.2 FUNCTION OF THE MENU’S KEYS
The keys of the WL31 control panel keyboard have the following functions:
ESC
Return to the upper level menu
Move to the following item in the menu (in the manual text this is represented as
).
Move to the previous item in the menu (in the manual text this is represented as
).
OK
This has many functions:
It confirms the chosen menu item and moves to the relating sub-menu
It terminates and confirms the inputting of data from the keyboard
It moves to the following data in a sequence of data to be input
6.3 SYSTEM ACCESS CODES
Up to 18 different access codes can be used to manage the WL31 system: 1 MASTER, 1 TECHNICIAN, 16 USER.
The manual shows the codes which enables access for every menu item.
Each code can be freely programmed, from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 figures, and, depending on its type,
it guarantees access to specific functions of the system.
6.3.1 MASTER CODE
The MASTER code has the highest level of authorization and it is the only one which can always access the
system. Its main functions are: total or partial activation and deactivation of the alarm system, authorization to
access the TECHNICIAN AND USER code system, the system test for periodical checks of its good working,
possible exclusion of Inputs. Furthermore, it enables access to simple programming, such as the telephone number
in the cases in which the WL31 control panel is equipped with a communicator.
The pre-set MASTER code is 111111 and it is advisable to replace it with another one that you will choose after the
installation.
6.3.2 TECHNICIAN CODE
The TECHNICIAN code enables access to the system after authorization through the MASTER code. It enables
you to carry out all the programming required to activate the system and to configure the different devices.
The pre-set TECHNICIAN code is 000000 and it is advisable to replace it with another one that you will choose
after the installation.
RESET of MASTER CODE and TECHNICIAN CODE: through this procedure, you can restore the MASTER code
and the TECHNICIAN code to the pre-definite values.
Open the control panel
With the open unit (and open tamper) enter *785# and confirm by OK.
Wait 60 sec. Now, you have no access to the system (alarm management). Display: “Access inhibited”.
After 60 sec., the MASTER and TECHNICIAN codes are set to the pre-defined values.
