4. When the LED switches off again, press and release the detector tamper. The LED starts to flash again to show
that the information is being transmitted to the control panel.
5. The control panel, after recognizing the information and acquiring the device, makes a series of acoustic signals
(“beeps”) and the display shows the message «IRnn Acquisition-Infrared», where nn indicates the address given to the
device.
Advice n. 1
: take note of this address and write it on an adhesive label to place on the back of the
detector (this will be useful during the configuration phase). Note down the same address on the
programming tables situated at the end of this manual.
Advice n. 2
: if the control panel does not acquire the device, carry out its reset according to the
instructions contained in the DEVICE RESET paragraph.
6. The detector LED remains on to confirm that it has been acquired. This signal is useful to remember which
devices have already been acquired. The method to switch the LED off will be explained later.
4.1.3 IRA31WL PASSIVE INFRARED DETECTOR
Warning
: do not touch the pyroelectric detector.
1. Open the detector by pressing the lower flap and by lifting the cover.
2. Remove the lens holder by operating the fixing tabs.
3. Insert the supplied battery according to the correct pole positions.
4. The LED turns on with a fixed light for about 4 seconds and then it flashes for about 5 seconds.
