THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE NOT
FAULTS:
1. A noise of running water.
This noise is normal in standard operation.
2. Condensation on the outside.
Condensation on the outside is normal when humidity is high. Simply wipe the moisture away.
3. When the fridge freezer has been started, it takes a while for the fridge section and the
freezer compartment to reach their set temperatures. If the fridge section and the freezer
compartment were warm when the fridge freezer was started, it takes longer for them to reach
their set temperatures. If the ambient temperature is high, it takes longer for the fridge section
and the freezer compartment to reach their set temperatures.
4. The compressor surface gets hot:
The compressor’s surface can get hot in normal use. Do not touch it.
USE
1. When using the fridge freezer for the first time, let it run empty until it reaches its minimum
temperature and the compressor stops automatically. This usually takes 2 or 3 hours. Next, set
the temperature control to the desired temperature and put food into the fridge freezer.
2. The temperature in the fridge freezer can be adjusted via the temperature control. In normal
cases, it is appropriate to set the temperature control to a middle position.
3. Defrost the freezer compartment as soon as the frost layer on the refrigeration element is
3 or 4 mm thick. When defrosting, remove all food and put the temperature control into the
“OFF” position. To collect the meltwater, place the drip pan at the bottom of the fridge freezer.
When the ice has melted, pour the meltwater away and dry the inside of the fridge freezer.
Restart the fridge freezer by turning the temperature control to the desired position.
IMPORTANT FOR USE!
1. The more foodstuffs placed inside and the longer the door is left open, the higher the fridge
freezer’s energy consumption. High loads can give rise to faults.
2. Do not place heavy, sharp or rust-prone objects on the shelves.
3. If the plug has been removed, wait at least 10 minutes before putting it back in.
4. Do not place liquid-containing bottles in the freezer compartment. They can burst under
freezing and the liquid can damage the fridge freezer.
5. Open the door as little as possible during power outages.
6. When defrosting, never use sharp or metal objects to remove ice from the surfaces of the
refrigeration element. This can damage the refrigeration element.
7. Do not touch foodstuffs and containers in the freezer compartment with your bare hands.
They may suffer frost burns.
INSTALLATION
1. When moving it, do not tilt the fridge freezer more than 45° from the vertical. Do not use
force on components such as condensers and doors. This can deform the components and
have a negative impact on the fridge freezer’s performance.
2. For the fridge freezer to work correctly, allow it enough free space on all sides.
3. Do not put the fridge freezer in places with high humidity. This can damage the fridge
freezer and/or result in it becoming damp and rusty.
Warning! This unit must be connected to an earthed power outlet.
CLEANING THE FRIDGE FREEZER
Before you start cleaning the fridge freezer, remove the plug from the power outlet.
Use lukewarm water and then dry with a soft cloth.
The door seal gets dirty easily and acquires a coating. Clean it often.
