7.3.3 Ignition key
The ignition key (Fig. 7-15) allows the operator to turn the machine on for use. The key can be removed in the OFF position, and must
always be removed from the machine if left unattended, to avoid use by unauthorized staff
.

OBLIGATION!: When not in use, the key must be kept by the laser safety technician (please refer to paragraph 4.11), who will only
give it to personnel in charge of operating the machine and trained in the use of laser devices, who in turn will be responsible for
returning the key at the end of their work shift.
7.3.4 Resonator shutter
This device consists of a small flag controlled by a spring-loaded rotary coil, located inside the laser resonator. The function of this device
is to prevent the generation of undesired laser radiation.
When the machine is switch
ed on (general switch on “I”), and the key switch is turned to READY, the shutter remains closed. Only
once the laser is enabled by pressing the START control area, does the resonator shutter open, clearing the laser path. At this point,
the welding machine is ready for normal operation.
By turning the key to OFF, the machine will run the program to turn the laser source off, the resonator shutter will close and the
machine will monitor that the shutting process took place correctly and within the foreseen time frame.
The resonator shutter becomes operational (activates) also in the following events:
•
If any errors are detected;
•
When the ignition key is removed - “OFF”;
•
If the emergency button is pushed;
•
If an interruption in the electrical power supply occurs (for example, if the electrical plug is disconnected or if the general switch
is set to “O”);
•
If the interlock device is triggered
