Replacing the filters
It is important to replace the filters since their main
function is to protect the membrane. Check for any signs of
leaks just after you have replaced them and while the
appliance is running.
REPLACING FILTER
It is time to replace filter
when the “filter I” indicator
is showing a constant yellow light during operation. First of
all eliminate any other possible faults using the trouble-
shooting table in the section entitled “If the RO 400 stops
working”.
1
Disconnect the electrical plug. Open the front cover (in
front of the two filter containers) using the grip, as
shown in the illustration, see fig.
A
.
2
Use the filter spanner to undo the container marked
.
Remember that the container will be full of water and
that some water may spill! See fig.
B
. Lift out the filter
and discard it.
3
Clean the filter holder using a brush and water. See fig.
C
.
4
Put the new filter in place, with the label
pointing
upwards. Make sure that the sealing ring is in place in
the grooves of the filter container.
5
Refit and tighten the container using the filter spanner.
Tighten the filter container so that the dot is somewhere
between the two outermost white lines. See fig.
D
.
6
Close the front cover and put the plug back in. The water
purifier will now automatically flush out. See fig.
E
.
This completes the procedure for replacing filter
,
and the RO 400 is ready for use again.
(If the cause is filter
and the water purifier is still
operated without changing the filter, the RO 400 will stop
working when the filter has become more blocked.)
REPLACING FILTER
It is time to replace filter
when the “filter II” indicator
is on.
1-6Follow the 6 points in the instructions for replacing
filter
, but this time undo filter
, which is the
container on the right, and change the filter.
7
The water purifier must be connected to a wall socket
and must be at rest after flushing.
8
Set the built-in timer to zero by holding the “calibrate”
button in for about 5 seconds until the “filter II”
indicator goes out, see fig. F.
This completes the procedure for replacing filter
,
and the RO 400 is ready for use as usual.
(The built-in time meter monitors the efficiency of the carbon
filter, filter
, with regard to operational time and ageing.)
The timer can only be zeroed when the front panel shows
“filter II” .
Set the water purifier’s counter to zero after changing filter
as in point 8.
