Switch and indicator set
The following components can be found in the top:
A. The thermometer
The display of the thermometer shows the temperature
of the warmest point in the freezer in the range of +39
and -40 °C, provided that the freezer is not empty.
On the display the SU text and the temperature vary
when the appliance runs in fast freeze mode. See also
the chapter "Freezing".
On the display the AL text and the temperature vary
when the freezer temperature is too high.
The AL text flashes for a short time:
Immediately after the first power up
The AL text flashes for a longer time:
When it is too warm in the freezer (e.g. door not
closed)
When there is an operating trouble in the freezer
As soon as the adequate temperature reached, the
display shows the temperature again.
The display of the thermometer alternately shows the SU
text, the AL text and the temperature when the appliance
runs in fast freezing mode and the temperature is too
high. See also the chapter "Freezing".
B. Fast-freezing push button
When it is pushed, the freezer compressor runs
continually and the display operates accordingly. See
also the chapter "Freezing".
C. Thermostat knob of the freezing
compartment
It is for setting the temperature in the freezing
compartment.
D. Thermostat knob of the fresh food
compartment
It is for setting the temperature in the fresh food
compartment.
Handling the appliance
Putting it into use
Put the plug into the mains socket. The digits of the display
flash one by one, provided that the thermostat knob of the
freezing compartment ("C") is not in the "0" position. So the
appliance is up and running.
Refrigerator:
To start the refrigerating turn the termostat knob ("D")
clockwise. In its "0" position the refrigerator is off, but under
the mains voltage.
Freezer:
To start the refrigerating turn the thermostat knob ("C")
clocwise. The display shows the AL text and temperature as
written in chapter "The thermometer". In its "0" position the
freezer is off, but it is under the mains voltage.
Controlling the temperature, setting
The thermostats interrupt the operation of the appliances
automatically for more or less time depending on the setting
then restarts them assuring the required temperature.
Refrigerator
Several cooling stages can be chosen between "Min." and
"Max.".
