Installation
• Anauthorisedpersonmustinstallthisapplianceand
mUST provide a Certificate of Compliance.
Thiscertificateshouldberetainedalongwith
purchase information.
• Beforeusingtheappliance,ensurethatallpacking
materials are removed from the appliance.
• Inordertoavoidanypotentialhazard,theinstallation
instructionsinthisbooklet,andanylabelsonthe
appliance must be followed.
• Ensurethatallspecifiedvents,openingsandair
spaces are not blocked.
• Wheretheapplianceisbuiltintoabenchtop,
the benchtop material must be capable of
withstanding 85°C.
• Ensurethattheduplicateratinglabel(inthe
instruction pack) is attached to a readily accessible
adjacentsurface,sothatthecooktopcanbeeasily
identifiedinthecaseofaservicecall.
Servicing
• ServicingMUSTonlybecarriedoutby
authorised personnel.
• Tomaintainsafeoperation,itisrecommendedthatthe
productbeinspectedeveryfiveyearsbyanauthorised
service person.
• Ifthesupplycordisdamaged,itmustbereplacedby
themanufacturer,itsserviceagentorsimilarlyqualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Cleaning
• Alwaysensuretheapplianceisturnedoff
before cleaning.
• Thisappliancecontainsaluminiumfittings.
Do not use caustic based cleaners.
• Donotusesteamcleanersasthismaycausemoisture
build up on electrical components.
• Alwayscleantheapplianceimmediatelyafter
any food spillage.
• Donotplaceanycomponentsinadishwasher.
• Refertopage10forcareandcleaninginstructionsfor
stainless/ ceramic hob panel.

Controls
Each burner is controlled by a control knob. the markings
on the control panel indicate which burner the knob
controls,andthesettingforthatburner(seeFigure4).
NOTE! Gas controls turn anticlockwise from ‘OFF’ and have
limited movement.
Lighting burners
Electronicignition:Thesecooktopsarefittedwith
mains powered ignition. When the appliance has been
connectedandthepowerison,depressinganyknob
will release sparks to all burners.
CaUTIon!
• Keephandsclearofburnerswhenlighting.
• Ifburnerdoesnotlightwithin5seconds,turnknob
to‘OFF’position,allowgastodisperse,thentry
lighting again.
• BurnersMUSTbeoperatedbetween‘HIGH’and
‘LoW’ settings only.
Tolightaburner,theknobmustbeturnedtothe
or
‘HIGH’position,thenpusheddownasfaras
possible for approximately 5 seconds. If the flame goes out
whentheknobisreleasedsimplydepresstheknobagain,
this time holding it down with slightly more force for the
same length of time.
the height of the flame can be varied by turning the control
knob toward the ‘LoW’ position.
NOTE! When the wok burner is turned to low only the
small inner ring stays lit. This is a normal function of
the dual wok burner to provide a very low power
flame option.
Intheabsenceofelectricalpower,carryouttheignition
directly to the burner with a hand held ignition source.
