DISABLING THE POWER
4. Locate and double-cut the 12V ground cable that runs from the 12V battery negative to the steering column
bracket. Be sure to cut out a section of cable that is wide enough to prevent the cut ends from accidentally touching
and completing the electrical circuit.
5. If time allows, wrap the cut ends of the cable in insulated tape as an additional precaution against accidental
reconnection.
Note: If the 12V ground cable is cut, the vehicle can still be powered ON if an external 12V power source is connected to
the 12V battery terminals. See
