6 TAKING A READING
1. Hold the gauge with the probe in the area to
be measured.
If you are measuring surface temperature,
hold the gauge with the tip of the probe in
contact with the surface to be measured.
For good contact, hold the gauge
perpendicular to the surface.
2. Use the arrow buttons
and
to
select the parameter required (ambient,
surface, dewpoint or
∆
T).
Relative humidity and the selected
temperature will be shown on the display.
3. Press
to freeze the current readings on
the display (display shows
HOLD
)
For instructions on storing readings in gauge
memory see the next section.
7 USING YOUR GAUGE MEMORY
The memory in your Elcometer 319 Dewmeter
can store up to 99 datasets. Each dataset
comprises of one set of measurements:
• relative humidity
• ambient temperature
• surface temperature
• dewpoint temperature
•
∆
T (delta T)
• time and date
Data in the memory can be viewed on the screen
of your gauge, printed via an infra red link, or
exported to a PC using an optional interface
cable.
Datasets can be deleted if required.
