6.5 REFUELING
Fuels that can be used:
- Recommended:
- EN 228 Super or EN 228 Super Plus (min. Roz 95) / MOGAS.
- Alternative:
- AVGAS 100LL (ASTM D910) or AVGAS UL91 (ASTM D7547)
Fuel tank capacity ----------------------------------------------- 87 lt (23 gal).
Unusable fuel ----------------------------------------------------- 2 lt (0.5 gal).
AVGAS 100LL places greater stress on the valve seats due to its high lead
content and forms increased deposits in the combustion chamber and lead
sediments in the oil system. Thus it should be used in case of problems with
vapour lock or when other types of gasoline are unavailable.
To avoid contamination, use a funnel with strainer/filter when refuelling
from jerry cans.
6.6 CHECKING OIL LEVEL
Before checking the oil level, be sure the ignition switch is OFF. The oil level
should be checked with the aircraft in level attitude.
Remove the oil tank cap, turn the propeller in the correct direction of
rotation until you hear the oil gurgle in the tank. Insert the cleaned dipstick
fully for measurement and verify the oil level.
The oil level should be in the upper half (between the “50%” and the max.
mark) and should never fall below the min. mark.
Difference between “min” and “max” mark is 0.45 lt (0.12 gal).
