4. Description of the AIRMATIC
The AIRMATIC is a small, battery-powered device that is used between the breathing mask and the breathing filter.
The constant supply of fresh air makes it easier for the user to breathe through the breathing filter and thus provides
greater comfort. The polluted surrounding atmosphere is sucked, cleaned and fed through the breathing filter with the
help of the device and lung power. This makes it possible to work safely and comfortably in surroundings with
polluntants.
When exhaling the used breathing air is fed into the atmosphere through the exhale valve(s) with the surplus breathing
air.
If the AIRMATIC fails the inhalation as well as exhalation resistance do not exceeded at any time. Therefore the
protective effect is not affected.
4.1. Components
The configuration of the AIRMATIC comprises the following components when it is ready for use:

4.2. Identifying marking of the AIRMATIC
All identifying markings are located on the type plate.

5. Preparation for use
Check the orderly condition of the entire breathing apparatus before use. Check the seal between the AIRMATIC, the
breathing filter and the full face mask/half mask. Breathing apparatus may only be used by persons who are in good
health and have been instructed in the use of breathing apparatus.
Specialist mask spectacles are available for the full face masks for those with visual impairments.
5.1. Installing and replacement of 9V block battery
Take the AIRMATIC, unscrew the securing screw from the battery cover and remove the battery cover. Insert the 9V
block battery into the battery compartment. Close the battery cover and tighten the securing screw. The operation
period of the block battery remains under full load approx. 2.5 hours.
