Improved Work Efficiency,
Reduced Visual Fatigue
EIZO conducted a survey in 2008 to establish the
relationship between eye fatigue and monitor use.
The results showed that features like Auto EcoView
and ergonomic stands helped reduce eye fatigue and
improved work efficiency by 12.5%. For a white
paper regarding this study visit www.eizo.com/

5-Year Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty
EIZO backs its monitors with a
5-year warranty (touch panel and
multitouch monitors have a 3-year
warranty). This makes them an investment that pays
off over time – doing away with worries of frequent
product replacement and resultant downtime.
Lower Power Consumption for
Greater Savings
Auto EcoView cuts power consumption by up to 51%
compared to operating the monitor at the default
brightness of 100%.
Environment
Presence Sensor for Power Savings
An integrated presence sensor available with the EV
series called EcoView Sense prompts the monitor to
switch to power save mode when it does not detect
your presence for 180 seconds, and then resume
normal operation when you return. To prevent the
screen from reactivating when it shouldn’t, EcoView
Sense differentiates between your presence and a still
object like an empty chair or general office activity in
the background.
Optimized Brightness with Auto EcoView
The Auto EcoView function is a sensor on the front
of the monitor that measures ambient light and
optimizes the screen’s brightness to a level akin to
viewing a sheet of paper under typical office lighting
conditions. Since the screen is never too bright, eye
strain is reduced while power consumption is cut by
up to 51%. (See chart to the right.)
Confirm Power Savings with EcoView Index
A gauge called EcoView Index displays the level of
power savings from using Auto EcoView. Some mod-
els even display the power and CO
2
reduction.
Eco Labeling
Several models comply with the most stringent inter-
national labels for ergonomics and energy savings like
TCO Displays 5, EPA Energy Star, and EPEAT Gold.
