9. Replacing the line spool
CAUTION! Make sure that you pull out the power
plug before exchanging the line spool!
앬 Hold the motor bracket (B) firmly and turn the
spool receptacle (C) anticlockwise until it can be
detached (Figs. 12+13).
앬 Replace the empty line spool with a full one and
lead the end of the line through the lateral holes
of the spool (Fig. 14).
앬
Place the spool receptacle on the motor bracket,
hold the motor bracket in place, then press the
spool receptacle downwards while turning
clockwise until the spool is snug.
앬
Press the push button and pull the line out to the
edge of the guard hood (Fig. 15/Item D).
앬 The line will be cut to the correct length when the
cutting head starts up again (Fig. 16).
CAUTION! Bits from the nylon line could cause
injury when being flung out.
10. Cleaning and maintenance
앬
Switch off and unplug the grass trimmer before
putting it away or cleaning it.
앬
Remove deposits from the guard hood with a
brush.
앬 Clean the plastic body and plastic parts with a
mild household detergent and a damp cloth.
앬 Never use aggressive agents or solvents for
cleaning purposes!
앬 Never spray down the grass trimmer with water.
앬 Prevent water getting into the trimmer at all cost.
11. Waste disposal
Accessories and packaging should be disposed of in
an environment-friendly fashion, i.e. by taking them
to a recycling depot. Plastic parts are marked for
purposes of separation when recycling.
