10. Cleaning, storage and ordering
of spare parts
Carry out the cleaning and maintenance work be-
fore putting into storage.
10.1 Cleaning
•
Regularly clean the tensioning mechanism by
blowing it out with compressed air or cleaning
it with a brush. Do not use any tools for
cleaning.
•
Keep the handles free of oil so that you can
maintain a firm grip.
•
Clean the equipment as required with a damp
cloth and, if necessary, with mild washing up
liquid.
Danger!
•
Always disconnect the mains plug before
cleaning the equipment.
•
Never immerse the equipment in water or
other liquids in order to clean it.
10.2 Storage and transportation
•
If you are not going to use the electric pole
pruner for an extended period of time, remove
the chain oil from the tank. Briefly immerse
the saw chain and the cutter rail into an oil
bath and then wrap them in oil paper.
•
Store the equipment and its accessories
out of the reach of children in a dark and dry
place at above freezing temperature. The
ideal storage temperature is between 5 and
30°C.
•
Always carry the equipment with one hand
on the handle and with the other hand on the
grip area.
•
Do not carry the tool by its motor housing.
•
Secure the tool against slipping if you trans-
port it in a vehicle.
•
If possible, use the original packaging for
transporting the tool.
•
Clean the electric pole pruner and carry out
its maintenance before you put it into storage.
•
During storage or transportation, use the
supplied safety guards for the cutter rail/saw
chain.
10.3 Ordering replacement parts:

replacement parts:

11. Disposal and recycling
The equipment is supplied in packaging to pre-
vent it from being damaged in transit. The raw
materials in this packaging can be reused or
recycled. The equipment and its accessories are
made of various types of material, such as metal
and plastic. Never place defective equipment in
your household refuse. The equipment should
be taken to a suitable collection center for proper
disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of
such a collection point, you should ask in your
local council o
