3.
After Windows 2000 has finished installing the driver files, insert the Universal
Connections Suite CD into the CD-ROM drive on your computer.

Click
Start
, and then click
Run
.
5.
In the
Run
box, type
d:\windows\w2k-xp\connections for windows 2000-xp\
ecupdate.exe
(where d: corresponds to the drive letter assigned to your CD-ROM
drive).
6.
Click
OK
. This will update all Eiconcard Connections for Windows 2000/XP files to
the latest version.
7.
If you are installing a C-Series or S-Series Eiconcard
, install any optional Eiconcard
Connections software that you may want to use. It is recommended that you install
optional software before you configure your Eiconcard(s).
8.
Configure the Eiconcard(s). See the online help for instructions on how to configure
your Eiconcard(s).
For C3x, C9x, CX1, S92, S94 (8 MB), or P93 Eiconcards
1.
Ensure that you have installed and connected the Eiconcard in your computer as
described in the installation guide included with your Eiconcard.
2.
Start your computer and log on as Administrator or equivalent. Windows 2000 will
detect the new hardware and start the ‘Found New Hardware Wizard’.
3.
In the first panel of the ‘Found New Hardware Wizard’, click
Next
.
4.
Make sure
Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)
is selected,
and click
Next
.
5.
Select
CD-ROM drives
, and clear all other options.
6.
Insert the Universal Connections Suite CD into the CD-ROM drive on your computer,
and click
Next
. Windows 2000 locates the drivers for your Eiconcard.
7.
Click
Next
and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
If, for any reason, you abort the installation procedure before it has completed, running
ECUPDATE will correctly install the latest drivers. To run ECUPDATE, follow the steps
below:
1.
Click
Start
, and then click
Run
.
2.
In the
Run
box, type
d:\windows\w2k-xp\connections for windows 2000-xp\
ecupdate.exe
(where d: corresponds to the drive letter assigned to your CD-ROM
drive).
3.
Click
OK
. This will update all Eiconcard Connections for Windows 2000/XP files to
the latest version.
