STARTING/STOPPING THE HEDGE TRIMMER
Before operating, remove the blade guard and hold the trimmer with both hands, one
hand on the rear handle and the other on the front handle. Then check for balanced
footing, upright standing and a proper cutting distance.
WARNING:
Always keep both hands on the hedge trimmer handles. Never hold
shrubs with one hand and operate the hedge trimmer with the other. Failure to heed
this warning may result in serious injury.
TO START THE HEDGE TRIMMER
Install the battery pack. Depress the lock-off trigger with palm and then press the rear
switch level up. With rear switch level depressed, continue pressing the front switch
lever to start.
NOTE:
Both switch levers need to be pressed for the hedge trimmer to start.
Adjust the speed of the hedge trimmer with the speed-adjustment knob. Position “1”
selects a lower speed; position “2” selects a higher speed. Choose the applicable
trimming speed according the working conditions and the material being trimmed.
TO STOP THE HEDGE TRIMMER
Move hedge trimmer away from the cutting area and release either of the switch levers
to stop it.
WARNING:
Always remove the battery pack from the hedge trimmer during
work breaks and after finishing work
USING THE HEDGE TRIMMER
WARNING:
If the blade jams on any electrical cord or line,
DO NOT TOUCH THE
BLADE! IT CAN BECOME ELECTRICALLY LIVE AND VERY DANGEROUS.
Continue to
hold the hedge trimmer by the insulated rear handle or lay it down and away from you
in a safe manner. Disconnect the electrical service to the damaged line or cord before
attempting to free the blade from the line or cord. Failure to heed this warning will
result in serious personal injury or possible death.
WARNING:
If any parts are missing, damaged or broken, do not operate your
trimmer until they have been replaced. Failure to do so could result in possibly serious
personal injury.
