Determine the correct place for the light box and take the sliding of the acrylic sheet into account. Check
where the power supply is located and where it exits the lightbox. Take the length of the cord into account
when connecting the LED power supply.
1. Drilling holes in the profile
Determine the locations of the mounting holes, take into account the position of the LED frame on the surface. Drill
the holes through the white back panel and rear sleeve. For larger LED frames, these are an important part of the
support structure of the LED frame. Small formats do not have a rear sleeve. If possible, also determine and drill the
hole for the grommet. Copy the dimensions of the mounting holes to the wall.
2. Mounting the profile on the wall
Choose suitable mounting materials according to the surface against which the LED frame will be mounted (stone,
wood, sheet piling, etc.). Check whether this surface can bear the weight of the LED frame. The LED frame can then
be mounted.
3. Holes for drainage
It is a legal requirement to drill drainage holes for an illuminated frame. To do this, drill two holes of at least 7 mm on
the left and right sides of the bottom profile. These should be well deburred, both on the inside and outside of the
frame, in connection with dirt accumulation. We recommend drilling several drainage holes for frames longer than
two metres.
4. Connecting the cord
After the lightbox has been mounted, the cord can be connected to the LED power supply. Clean the inside of the
box and test the electrics for proper functioning. Before inserting the acrylic sheet, also clean the back.
Please note:
from a height of 6 metres, the acrylic sheets are provided with suspension edges. A large suspension
edge at the top and a small suspension edge at the bottom. It is not advisable to install the lightbox or to slide the
acrylic sheet in or out in strong winds. Depending on the weight, the light box should be mounted by at least two
people.
