THE
INTERFACE
BOARD
1.
Remove the Fiery X3eTY from the print engine, as described on page 10.

REPLACE
THE
INTERFACE
BOARD
1.
Insert the interface board into motherboard connector PCI11.
Slide one edge of the board into the pan guide rail (see page 5) and bend out the pan so
that you can insert the interface connector into the connector panel cutout.
2.
Connect the interface board cables to the motherboard (see page 12):
• Connect the short cable in interface board connector J20 to motherboard connector
J29. The connector is keyed to fit only one way.
• Connect the cable in interface board connector J632 to motherboard USB connector
JP22. The connector is keyed to fit only one way.
3.
Re-install the top fan, as described on page 27 (also see page 12).
To keep the cables away from motherboard components, make sure to install a new
tie-wrap around the cables tie-wrapped previously. Tie-wraps are supplied with new
interface boards.
4.
Attach the cover plate to the connector panel with the two screws you removed earlier.
5.
Reassemble the unit and verify functionality, as described on page 34.
