Performing Backup and Restore

Select one of the following restore options:
•
Restore from a local image
•
Restore from a USB storage device
•
Restore from the factory default image

Click
Continue.

Follow the on-screen prompts to restore the backup image.
Note:
The E-36A must remain powered ON during the backup or restore process.
To restore the system by booting from a bootable USB storage device

Using bootable USB storage device to restore
Use the following procedure when the E-36A does not boot from the built-in hard disk drive.
You can restore from the bootable USB storage device (including the Fiery factory image) created by Fiery System
Restore.
To restore the system from bootable USB storage device
To restore from the bootable media, you must have created a backup media. If you have created a backup as bootable
backup media, follow these instructions. You can use this procedure to install the system software after you replaced
the new hard disk drive.

Shut down the E-36A.

Attach the bootable USB storage device to the E-36A.
Be sure to not attach other USB devices to the E-36A.

Press the power button to turn on the E-36A.
The E-36A will boot from the bootable USB storage device.

Follow the instructions on the Fiery QuickTouch display or the monitor (if available) to restore the backup image.

Erasing hard disks
•
Advanced backup management
•
Launching Windows Task Manager
Note:
The
Platform Utilities
is available only on the monitor.
