Allow the E-36A to start.

When the language selection screen displays, select a language.

When “What do you want to do?” screen displays, select
Restore using a backup image, or the recovery partition

When “Select backup source” screen displays, select
Restore from recovery partition.

When “All data on hard disk drive(s) will be erased. Continue?” message displays, select
Continue
to install the
system software.
Installing the Fiery QuickTouch software
Install the Fiery QuickTouch software when you encounter the following:
•
The Fiery QuickTouch is not responding.
•
You replaced the Fiery QuickTouch with a new one.
Before you install the Fiery QuickTouch software
If the Fiery QuickTouch does not start up after starting the E-36A, or if it is not responding, do the following before
you reinstall the Fiery QuickTouch software:
•
Restart the E-36A (see

Reboot the E-36A (see
•
Shut down the E-36A, wait one minute, and then power on the E-36A by pressing the power button on the front
•
Reset the Fiery QuickTouch: press the reset button on the Fiery QuickTouch through the pinhole, and hold the
button down for two seconds (see
After performing these methods, if the Fiery QuickTouch does not start up or not responding, proceed to reinstall the
Fiery QuickTouch software (see
To install the Fiery QuickTouch software

Make sure that the E-36A is Idle.

From the monitor connected to the E-36A, or from the Remote Desktop Connection session or printer operation
panel, locate the folder that includes the system update image file using the following steps:
a
Browse “C:\Glance\image\NX-
<version_number>
-system_update” folder. The image file is located in this folder
if the Fiery QuickTouch software installation was incomplete, or if the image file is downloaded but not yet
installed.
b
If you do not find the above folder, go to the “C:\Glance\image_backup” folder. Copy “NX-
<version_number>
-
system_update” folder and paste it in “C:\Glance\image”.
