17.2 Inspect the mowing blades.
WARNING
The mowing blade has sharp edges. If it contacts your flesh, it will cut you, even if it is not
moving. Always wear heavy- duty work gloves when mounting or otherwise handling the
mowing blade.
To inspect the mowing blades (always use heavy-duty gloves):
•
Activate the disabling device.
•
Place the worker robot on a firm, level and flat surface for cleaning the upper side of the
worker robot. Protect the worker robot by using a protection means by laying cardboard
or fabric on the flat surface.
•
Tilt the worker robot onto its front screen. Make sure the screen rests on fabric or
cardboard to avoid scratches on the screen. Scratches on the screen may hamper the
working of the device.
•
Carefully clean the mowing deck and mowing blade (always use heavy-duty gloves).
•
Take a regular A4-paper and slide it along each blade and see if the blade cuts through
the paper or not.
•
Replace the blade if it doesn’t cut through the paper.
