5.7 Inspect and clean the pump inlet-filter
1. Undo the clamping ring ( Figure 4 , item 20) and remove the inlet catchpot (24) from the inlet of the pump.
2. Remove the centring ring and filter assembly ( Figure 9 . item 1) and the O-ring (2) from the inlet of the pump.
Inspect the centring ring and the O-ring. If they are clean, continue at Step 7. If they are not clean, continue at
Step 3.
3. Remove the O-ring (2) from the centring ring and filter assembly (1). Do not allow the O-ring to come into
contact with the cleaning solution.
4. Wash the centring ring and filter assembly in a suitable cleaning solution and allow it to dry.
5. If necessary, wipe the O-ring with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
6. Refit the O-ring (2) to the centring ring and filter assembly (1).
7. Refit the O-ring and centring ring and filter assembly to the inlet.
8. Fit the inlet catchpot ( Figure 4 , item 24) to the pump inlet (19) and secure with the clamping ring (20).
