How to play
Lotto Game 1
6 theme boards – 48 cards
The game is ideally played by six children. Each child gets a playing board and the cards are placed
face down on the table. Taking turns, the children turn a card over. If the card is also on their own
playing board then it is put in the correct place. The point of this game is to recognize identical
cards. If the card is not on their playing board then it is placed at the bottom of the pack. Whoever
is the first to completely fill their board wins the game.
Lotto Game 2
Played as above, but now the children may fill their playing boards with different cards as long as
they have the same amount. For example, the board has 3 giraffes: on this can be placed the card
with 3 giraffes, the card with 3 cars, the card with 3 dots or the card with the number 3. Through this,
counting skills are further stimulated.
Memory Game
This can be played with 24, 36 or 48 cards.
The cards are placed randomly, face down on the table. Taking turns, the toddlers turn 2 cards over.
If they make a pair (cards with the same amount) the player may keep the 2 cards. If the cards do not
make a pair then they have to be turned over in the same place, face down on the table. Whoever
collects the most pairs wins the game.
Different options are possible, for example:
24 cards with only pictures, e.g. 5 chickens match with 5 pens.
24 cards with dots and pictures, e.g. 3 dots go with 3 giraffes
24 cards with numbers and pictures, e.g. number 6 and 6 sweets
36 cards, dots, numbers and pictures, i.e. make a set of 3
48 cards, make sets of 4
Many other variations
