GETTING READY TO EXPLORE
Before using your GeoSafari Jr. Telescope for the first time, you'll need to attach the
legs of the tripod. Insert the legs into the base as indicated by the directions on
page 3. Next, install 3 AAA batteries. See the diagram and directions on page 3.
1. Move the power switch to medium or high volume to begin.
2. Press the FACTS button to learn about space.
3. Press the QUIZ button to test your knowledge.
LET'S LEARN ABOUT SPACE
If you're in FACTS mode, you will learn five fascinating facts about each object you see.
1. Turn the right dial until you see the object in the view finder.
2. You will hear a fact about the object.
3. Turn the left dial to hear another fun fact.
4. After you have listened to all five facts, you can test your knowledge and try a fun
Quiz (press the QUIZ button) or choose another object (turn the Object dial). Note:
You can switch between FACTS mode and QUIZ mode at any time.
TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SPACE
If you're in QUIZ mode, you'll be given five questions to test your knowledge about
each object that you see.
1. Turn the right dial until you see the object in the view finder.
2. You will hear a question about the object.
3. Follow the audio prompts and select your answer.
• For Multiple Choice questions press 1, 2, or 3
• For True or False questions press 1 for True and 2 for False
4. Turn the left dial to hear another question.
5. After you have finished the five quiz questions for this object, you can go to FACTS
mode (press the FACTS button) or test your knowledge on another object (turn the
Object dial). Note: You can switch between FACTS mode and QUIZ mode at any time.
TIP: All of the questions in the Quiz are based on information you learned
while listening to the Facts. If you answer a question incorrectly, you can
toggle to Facts mode to review the facts.
