4.5.6 EE INPUT POLARITY SELECT (SEL9)
The EE input is used by the monitor to sense the flash mode of the cabinet. The SEL9 jumper
should be installed when the cabinet is wired to energize the MC coil and Flash Transfer
Relay coils for GYR signal operation. The Active state of the EE input thus indicates normal
GYR tri-color (non-flash) operation. The non-active state indicates flash operation.
The jumper should NOT be installed for a cabinet wired to energize the MC coil and Flash
Transfer Relay coils for flashing operation (standard Caltrans operation). The Active state of
the EE input thus indicates fault or flash mode operation.
4.5.7 FYA FLASHRATE MONITOR DISABLE (SEL15)
The Signal Monitor will respond to an enabled flashing Yellow Arrow signal that is not flashing
at a minimum rate (see Section 2.20.1.1.2, 2.20.2.1.2, and
Error! Reference source not f
ound.
). To DISABLE this monitoring function install a jumper into the SEL15 position.
