5.3.4 RS232
Please note Simple entry level series product and simple lite series product does not support
RS232 function.
RS232 interface is shown as below. There are five items. See Figure 5-8.
Function: There are various devices for you to select. Console is for you to use the COM or mini-
end software to upgrade or debug the program. The control keyboard is for you to control the
device via the special keyboard. Transparent COM (adapter) is to connect to the PC to transfer
data directly. Protocol COM is for card overlay function. Network keyboard is for you to use the
special keyboard to control the device. PTZ matrix is to connect to the periphera l matrix control.
Baud rate: You can select proper baud rate.
Data bit: You can select proper data bit. The value ranges from 5 to 8.
Stop bit: There are three values: 1/1.5/2.
Parity: there are three choices: none/odd/even.
System default setup is:
Function: Console
Baud rate:115200
Data bit:8
Stop bit:1
Parity: None
After completing all the setups please click save button, system goes back to the previous menu.

5.3.5 Network
Here is for you to input network information. See Figure 5-9.
IP address: Here you can input IP address.
DHCP: It is to auto search IP. When enable DHCP function, you cannot modify IP/Subnet mask
/Gateway. These values are from DHCP function. If you have not enabled DHCP function,
IP/Subnet mask/Gateway display as zero. You need to disable DHCP function to view current IP
information. Besides, when PPPoE is operating, you cannot modify IP/Subnet mask /Gateway.
TCP port: Default value is 4000.
UDP port: Default value is 4001.
HTTP port: Default value is 80.
Max connection: system support maximal 10 users. 0 means there is no connection limit.
Preferred DNS: DNS IP address.
