9/16” and 15mm wrenches

Jackstands and jack

Liquid penetrant and rubber lubricant

DISASSEMBLY

1.

Raise vehicle and support with proper
jackstands for the weight, leaving the
suspension hanging.

2.

Use caution around hot exhaust systems to
avoid burns.

3.

Use penetrating oil on all nuts and bolts.

4.

Remove the bolts and clamps from the system
and lubricate the rubber hangers to ease
removal.

5.

Use a long pry bar to pull the rubber hangers off
of the pipe hangers.

6.

Remove the old system. In some cases, you will
find it easier to cut the overaxle pipe to remove
it.

ASSEMBLY

1.

Clamp the intermediate pipe (#25-3250) to the
catalytic converter with a 3” band clamp and
just snug the clamp at this time. Slide hanger
clamp assembly (#23-4083) onto intermediate
pipe and engage wire into original front rubber
isolator. Leave clamp loose at this time.

WARNING: Exhaust gas contains carbon monoxide, a deadly invisible gas.  Correct any leaks before

driving!

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer.  Improper installation will void warranty and may

result in poor performance and engine or vehicle damage.

2.

Install hanger clamp assembly #23-4084 into the
second I-pipe isolator on frame.

3.

Slip the muffler onto the intermediate pipe with a
3” band clamp on the front. Inlet of muffler is
stamped in the nipple.

4.

Install hanger clamp assembly (#23-4085) onto
outlet end of muffler, engage hangers into the
stock rubber isolators and slip it onto the muffler
outlet. Slip the overaxle pipe over the rear end
and into the muffler outlet.

5.

Install hanger clamp assembly (#23-4086) onto
rear of the overaxle pipe and engage into factory
isolator.

6.

Install tailpipe and snug clamp.

7.

Working from the front of the system, align and
tighten each pipe from the cat-back.

8.

Check for clearance to body, frame, and driveline
as you tighten and align the system from front to
rear.

9.

Check for leaks and correct, if any are found.
