INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
®
Application:
Designed for 2004-2008 Ford F-150 pick-up trucks, 2 & 4WD with 4.6L, 5.2L V8 engine.
Suggested Tools for Installation:

3/8” rachet set with SAE and metric sockets
❑
9/16” and 15mm wrenches
❑
Jackstands and jack
❑
Liquid penetrant and rubber lubricant
❑
Long pry bars (for removing rubber-mounted hangers)
❑
Hacksaw (to cut intermediate pipe to required length)
❑
Tape measure
DISASSEMBLY
1.
Raise vehicle and support with the proper jackstands,
leaving the rear suspension hanging.
2.
Use caution around hot exhaust systems to avoid burns.
3.
Use penetrating oil on all nuts and bolts, and rubber lube
on the rubber hangers.
4.
Remove all nuts, bolts, and hangers from the rear of the
catalytic converter to the tailpipes.
5.
Remove the old exhaust system.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install rear muffler hanger #23-4066 into rear muffler
isolator with clamp to passenger side.
2.
Install tailpipe hanger #23-4067 into isolator behind rear
axle with clamp toward driver’s side.
3.
Slide ends of overaxle into hangers clamps installed in
Steps 1 and 2.
4.
Install muffler outlet onto overaxle pipe placing the rear
muffler hanger clamp onto muffler outlet nipple (muffler
inlet is stamped on nipple).

WARNING: Exhaust gas contains carbon monoxide, a deadly invisible gas. Correct any leaks before driving!
5.
Slide I-pipe #25-3217 onto catalytic converter outlet
pipe. Check length of I-pipe. Some vehicles will require
trimming due to various wheelbases. Mark I-pipe at this
time, remember the I-pipe should slide into muffler inlet
nipple 2”. This must be accounted for before cutting.
6.
Install I-pipe onto catalytic outlet pipe and muffler with
supplied band clamps, only snug at this time.
7.
Install hanger assembly #23-4063 onto I-pipe.
8.
Install polished tailpipe and snug clamp.
9.
Working from front to rear of vehicle align and tighten
clamps, being careful to give clearance for fuel lines,
brake lines, and spare tire.
