• Before cleaning the sandwich toaster, unplug it and let it
cool down. It is easier to clean the unit when it has not
completely cooled down. You do not need to disassemble the
sandwich toaster to clean it. Never immerse the sandwich
toaster in water or put it into the dishwasher.
• The toasting plates can be cleaned with water or in the
dishwasher.
• Remove any food residues from the plates with a cloth. To
remove food residues that are stuck to the plates you can
use lukewarm water with washing-up liquid, and then clean
the plates with a non-abrasive plastic pad or, better, use
damp kitchen roll to moisten the food residues and then
remove them.
• Do not use abrasive products that could scratch or
damage the non-stick coating.
• Do not use metal utensils to remove food residues as these
could damage the non-stick surface.
• The outer case of the sandwich toaster must only be
cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not clean the outside of the
unit with abrasive scouring pads or steel wool, as doing so will
damage the case. Do not immerse the unit in water or in any
other liquid.
• Do not put the unit in the dishwasher.
• Take out and clean the oil drip tray after every use and
wash it with warm, soapy water. Avoid the use of scouring
pads or harsh detergents as these can damage the tray
surface.
• Rinse the tray and dry with a clean, soft cloth. Then, put it
back into its place.
