3. Installation
Panels may only be installed by persons qualified according to directive. Electric installations must comply with valid standards.
Panels are suspended on four fixation points by chain, string or can be fixed directly to auxiliary frame.
Fixture spacings at the rear side of the panel:
After insertion, arrest the position against haphazard ejection with adjusting screws.
•
Distances to flammable objects
:
from radiating surface (temperature up to 380 °C)
100 cm
from the top edge for the distance of the mounting
brackets
from other parts of the panel 25 cm
•
Shortest height over the floor 350 cm (recommended value)
•
Mutual distance between the panels is usually greater that the height above the floor
•
Installation is prohibited in areas where sudden cooling of the heating lamellas can occur (via a stream of water, or water
jet,…)
•
The radiant panel can be installed at an angle or vertically. However, it must not be installed at an angle or vertically in
such a way that the terminal strip is located on the highest point of the panel. When the panel is angled an increase in
heat convection occurs, and this heat will irreversibly damage the electrical components of the terminal strip.
4. Panel connection (see fig. 1)
Electricity is distributed by CYKY cables. Cables can be connected (looped) directly in box terminal panels. The distributor
must include a circuit breaker in which the distance between disconnected contacts is at least 3.5 mm for all poles. Regu-
lation is ensured by space thermostats, e.g. EBERLE with time switching according to FENIX offer, switched by power relays
or contactors. A microprocessor control system is suitable for larger objects. In special cases, regulation must be custom
tailored according to the situation (zone heating, etc.)
ECOSUN SB30–SB36 panels can be regulated with symmetric segment switching (1
st
stage – central segment, 2
nd
stage –
both extreme segments, 3
rd
stage – all off)
Any alterations made to the factory- made connection in the terminal box will result in the destruction of the heating lamel-
las. As part of the warranty conditions, customers can only make alterations to that part of the terminal box which is used
for the connection of a supply cable.
The panel should not be placed directly under a fixed connection socket.
5. Maintenance
Limited to dusting or wiping with a wet cloth and detergent. Do not clean the radiating surface.
