Any Z-Wave Plus
TM
controller can remove any Z-Wave Plus
TM
device from any network. The following steps
remove the old Node ID that may be on your device preventing you from adding it.
1.
Unplug the Siren.
2.
Follow your Z-Wave Plus
TM
controller’s instructions for activating its remove
(
Z-Wave Plus
TM
exclusion
)
mode.
3.
Plug the siren in to power. On power-up, the Siren+Chime goes into learn mode. Wait 10 seconds and for user
feedback that your Z-Wave Plus
TM
controller’s inclusion mode has completed. If successful, the Siren+Chime
will beep and the LED will fade on and off continuously.
If this does not seem to be working, then either repeat from step 1 or factory reset the device.
HOW CAN I FACTORY RESET THE SIREN+CHIME?
To restore the Siren+Chime back to factory default settings and also remove any Z-Wave Plus
TM
node ID from the
device follow these steps:
1.
Unplug the Siren+Chime.
2.
Hold the button down on the left side of the device.
3.
While continuing to hold the button down, plug the Siren+Chime into power, and continue holding the
button down for 10 seconds until the Siren+Chime starts to beep.
4.
Release the button and observe if the LED starts to fade on and off continuously.
5.
Your Siren+Chime is factory reset and ready to be added to your Z-Wave Plus
TM
network
.
IT’S ADDED. HOW DO I USE IT?
The Siren+Chime has what are called “endpoints”. These make the single device appear on supported Z-Wave
Plus
TM
controllers as multiple devices or rather explicitly breakout the various functionality of the Siren+Chime, i.e.
the Siren and the Chime as separate devices that can be used in a home automation “scene.” Your controller’s
manufacturer may have another word for a scene. If you see only one device, and that one device has only an ON
or OFF button, then the Siren+Chime is not fully supported, but it may still be possible to use the device the way
you intend to by controlling the main endpoint. The main endpoint, by default, is the Siren, but this can be
swapped with the Chime functionality and is selected via a jumper on the back. When this jumper is shorted, the
main endpoint will chime, so a user could set a scene for doors and windows to activate the Chime when they are
opened or closed.

SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The following is information that can be used by Z-Wave Plus
TM
controller manufacturers and home automation
enthusiasts to integrate the Ecolink Siren+Chime into their ecosystem and fully support all functionality.
ACTIVATING SOUNDS
We make use of the multichannel command class by having four endpoints each represents a different sound and
can be activated by sending either a Basic Set or Binary Switch Set.
