Detergent pre-metering and pre-metering delay time
The initial charge of a cleaning solution takes place via the time/quantity controlled pre-
metering. The pre-metering time is set with the help of PARAMETER FUNCTIONS under
DEFINE METERING SETTINGS (see chapter
).
A “pre-metering delay” (=delayed start of pre-metering) can be selected. This prevents the
dosed addition of detergent before the minimum filling level of the washing tank is reached.
The pre-metering time is set with the help of PARAMETER FUNCTIONS under DEFINE
METERING SETTINGS (see chapter
The pre-metering activates the relay output SP1 (factory setting).
To activate an additional pump to start the metering, select YES in the PREMETERING
OUT SEPARATE menu at the configuration level to also activate the “Pre-metering” relay
output (in parallel to SP1).
The metering enable is also active for the pre-metering by selecting: ENABLE ALSO ON
PREMETERING:
YES
at the configuration level menu.
Pre-metering is only activated when the metering enable contact is closed
(set to NO in the factory).
Conditions for releasing pre-metering:
- The conductivity value must be 20% below the rated value of SP1,
- If ENABLE ALSO ON PREMETERING: YES: is set, the metering enable contact must
be closed.
Pre-metering is started when:
- the relevant release conditions are fulfilled and the
▲
key is pressed for 5 s or the
external contact ”Start pre-metering“ is closed.
Pre-metering stops if:
- the
▼
key is pressed for 5 s.
- the measured conductivity value has exceeded the switching threshold of SP1 due to a
closed metering enable input.
- if ENABLE ALSO ON PREMETERING: YES: is set and the input of the metering enable
is opened.
- if the NO DETERGENT CHANGE CONTAINER message is shown, indicating an empty
product storage container.
- the preset pre-metering time has expired.
The pre-metering time to be set depends on the capacity of the wash tank, the delivery rate
of the metering pump and the required concentration.
Volume of wash tank x required concentration
l x g/l
t
Pre-metering
=
Delivery of the metering pump
g/h
Example:
Volume of wash tank:
300 l
Required concentration:
8 g/l
Delivery:
15000 g/h (=15 kg/h)
t
Pre-metering =
300 x 8 = 0.16 h = 9.6 min = 576 s
15000
