HANDLE
INSTALLATION
Model SRM-311U Only
Tools Required
: Scrench, 4 mm Hex Wrench
Parts Required:
U-Handle, 8 mm bolt, flat washer
1.
Install upper U-Handle and bracket on lower bracket and secure
with one (1) 8 x 55 mm bolt (A) and large circular washer.
2.
Loosen upper U-Handle clamp screws (B), and position U-Handle
for comfortable operation.
3.
Tighten U-Handle clamp screws.
CONNECT
THROTTLE
LINKAGE
AND
IGNITION
LEADS
Tools Required:
8 x 10 mm Open-end Wrench
Parts Required:
Cable Clips
1.
Unscrew air filter cover knob and remove cover.
2.
Place inner throttle cable in slot of carburetor swivel (B).
3.
Loosen nut (A) and place threaded end of throttle linkage on
carburetor. Finger tighten nut (A).
4.
Check throttle for freedom of movement and that wide open
throttle / low idle extremes are adjusted properly. If adjustment
cannot be achieved with adjusting nuts, consult with your Echo
Dealer for correct adjustment procedure.
5.
Connect 2 ignition leads from throttle cable tubing to 2 ignition
leads (C) on engine. Gather ignition wires and position behind air
filter case.
6.
Install air filter and cover.
Model 311U Only:
7.
Secure throttle cable to drive shaft using cable clips provided.
BALANCE
UNIT
Model SRM-311U Only
1.
Put on harness and attach unit to harness.
2.
Slide harness clamp up or down until unit balances with head
approximately 50-75 mm (2 -3 in.) from the ground.
3.
Tighten harness clamp screw.
