Installation & Mounting:
Carefully remove the Strobe and place it on a flat surface. Examine the
unit for transit damage, broken lenses, etc. If damage is found, contact
the transit company or distributor. Do not use damaged or broken parts.
Mounting:
Permanent, Model 6410
Position the unit in the desired mounting location. Using the base as a
template, mark the mounting hole locations. Drill three 3/16” mounting
holes, and drill one hole for power wire routing. The use of a grommet is
recommended for wires passing through compartment walls. Mount the
strobe beacon using #10 hardware.

Model 6410-MG comes complete with a magnet, a fifteen foot
cord and a cigarette lighter plug. A magnet mount kit is also
available for Model 6410.

Replacement:
To replace the flashtube, disconnect power to the strobe and wait
5 minutes. Remove the lens, then remove the worn flashtube by
squeezing the tabs on the side of the tube holder and pulling up.
Plug in the new tube assembly, and replace the lens.
WARNING!
Maximum recommended vehicle speed for safe operation us-
ing the Vacuum Mount model is 65 mph (104 km/h), on a well
maintained road, when fitted to the center of a vehicle roof
of steel construction. Higher speeds could cause the mount
to fail, resulting in the Strobe flying off of the vehicle, which
could cause damage to other vehicles, and injury or death to
the passengers.
The vacuum-magnet mount is not intended as a permanent
mounting for the Strobe. The vacuum-magnet mount unit must be
mounted on a magnetic surface (i.e. no fiberglass, etc.). Insure
that the magnet is kept clean.

Note:
These units are not sealed on the bottom. For
operation in an extremely moist environment or as added
protection against moisture, sealing the wire exit hole on
the bottom with a pliable caulking material is
recommended.
WARNING!
Hazardous voltage exists in strobe lights! Be sure power is off
for at least 5 minutes before removing the lens for any reason.
Failure to comply could result in serious injury or death.

NOTE: This unit is reverse polarity protected and will not operate if wired backwards.
